Debbi Moore Art Deco Christmas:

I was sooo excited to see my local craft store stock the Debbi Moore Art Deco Christmas magazine and paper crafting kit. I absolutely LOVE Debbi Moore's designs and when I saw this I knew I just had to buy it. The kit included a CD- ROM packed full of toppers, background papers, gift boxes and bag designs, christmas table decorations and so much more. A selection of Art Deco papers, Foiled toppers, a flourish and sentiment clear stamps, coloured cardstock, mirror card and tissue paper- everything to get you started crafting!

As you can probably tell there is an unlimited amount of projects you could make with this kit alone, but here is one I started with- a Christmas card using elements taken from the CD-Rom.

I began with a white Papermania 6x6 card blank and measured a piece of Rich Plum Foundations cardstock to fit just inside the card blank. Before sticking this onto the front, I applied a layer of IndigoBlue FlitterGlu just to the edges of the card and sprinkled Egyptian Gold Gilding Flakes to create a border. I then glued this to my card blank. I then cut three strips of card from gold glitter card, Centura Pearl card and once again from the Rich plum card. I embossed the plum coloured strip using a snowflake embossing folder before layering the strips one on top of the other. I gently brushed the raised snowflakes with a silver Encore ink pad to give a bit of definition before printing my chosen topper from the Debbi Moore Elegant Christmas CD-Rom. I secured my topper to the top and enhanced the image with Hunkydory Diamond Sparkles 'Fairy Daydreams' glitter which I added to certain elements such as the holly leaves, etc. I printed a decoupage red poinsettia from the cd and layered the elements on top of eachother, slightly curling the petals before gluing. I then coated the poinsettia embellishment with a layer of PinFlair Craft Glaze to add shine and a gold self adhesive gemstone in the centre. To finish, I used a selection of gold border peel- offs and corners around the edge of my card and added a couple of red flat back adhesive pearls to complete.
